Heavy balls are one of the most ubiquitous and versatile tools to be found in any gym. They are also among the oldest; there are references to Persian wrestlers training with sand-filled bladders 3000 years ago.
A good part of the reason for this is that they are suited to a range of activities: they can be heaved, hurled, rolled, carried or caught. They can be used in ballistic exercises or grinding ones, and in drills that develop neuromuscular coordination and strength simultaneously. Fighters can thus benefit greatly from having some on hand, be they medicine balls, dead balls or wall balls.
You can do exercises such as goblet squats, overhead squats, lunges, deadlifts. However, the beauty of a Dead Ball is that it is already a workout to pick it up from the ground. Similar to an Atlas Stone, it is the kind of equipment that takes up little space and reap tons of benefits such as functional strength, improved core stability and save time training major muscle groups as a unit. Deadball trains a 3 planes of movement and is effective for building strength, power and endurance.
