Harvested from iron ore, it is processed using heat treatment so that the sharp edges are smoothen and the hardness is strengthened.

It is used in our weighted sand bags, and used as weight to fill bean bags. The dense, smooth and suitably large size of the grains allows it to be used as additional weight without leaking. The diameter of the sand is 1-2mm.

The metal sand is specifically made up of 93% iron, 1% carbon, 0.1% manganese, 0.1% silicone, 1.2% sulphur and 0.6% phosphorous. This amount is a close estimation but quality may vary slightly.

It can also be used in science experiments.
